Leila Lou Eau de Parfum

My two favorite smells in the entire world are: morning dew and jasmine flowers. I scoured the internet looking for a perfume that smells like a true spring day, and this one came up repeatedly. Looking at the reviews, I got excited. I was so so so excited and was tracking the shipping the entire time.

So imagine my disappointment when I first sprayed it on my wrist, let it dry down.. and just smell shampoo. Yes there’s a floral scent, and you could say it smells like spring, but it also smells a LOT like bar soap which ruins it for me. It smells exactly like a jasmine scented hotel bar soap. I wouldn’t describe it as citrusy or grassy at all. The jasmine scent I’m getting is overpowering without any of the usual sweet honey-like scent that jasmine flowers smell like. It needs more sweetness and grassiness for me.

I am giving it three stars because at least shampoo smells good. But it isn’t what I was looking for :/
